Q: Some our family members have gluten (wheat) food allergies, can you direct us to what restaurants and snack venders have allergen info??

A:That’s a great question. Many people have food allergies or other special meal requests, like Kosher meals. Disney is committed to accommodating guests who have special dietary requests. You can find quick service restaurants in each of the parks that offer menu items that meet most dietary requests by going to Disney’s website: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/common/guestServicesDetail?id=GuestServicesSpecialDietaryDetailPage

All Disney World table service restaurants that accept reservations can accommodate most food allergies and other special requests if requested at least 72 hours in advance. By calling Disney Dining at (407)939-3463, you can discuss your needs with a Cast Member who will note your requests on your reservation. The Cast Member will also give you the dining location phone number(s) which you should call at least 72 hours in advance to discuss your dietary requests directly with the manager or chef. For additional information you can call (407)824-5967 or email SpecialDiets@DisneyWorld.com

How do you figure out which park to do on each day. We have a 5 day hopper pass in June? Can you go to more than 2 parks in one day?

Yes Rebecca, if you have the Park Hopper option you can go to more than one park on the same day. Figuring out which park to do on each day depends. If you and your family are early risers you may want to to to the park that has Morning Extra Magic hours to take advantage of the early admission for WDW resort guests. If, however, you are not staying at a WDW resort or you prefer to go to the parks a bit later, go to one that does not have Morning Extra Magic hours on that day. The logic here is that whichever park is having Morning Extra Magic hours will be more crowded, so to avoid the crowds go to a different park. Again, if you are staying at a WDW resort and prefer to get a later start, you may want to go to whichever park has Evening Extra Magic hours which will allow you to stay in the park and enjoy those rides that typically have longer waits, after general closing time. I might also suggest that if possible, on your first full day go to either the Studios or Epcot; the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom can be pretty grueling after a long, tiring day of travel. The Studios and Epcot do not have nearly as much ground to cover.

we are planning a trip to WDW Aug 9 – 14, with 2 children (ages 4 yrs and 18 months)
looking for a junior suite or suite, or 1 bedroom so the kids can take a nap without being disturbed.I was interested in Wilderness lodge or Beach club. (or any suggestions close to Magic Kingdom) If we do the 1 bedroom villas can we use all the facilities at the hotel building (pool, gym/exercise facilities, etc…)? What are the differences between Suite and 1 bedroom? I was on the Disney site and they have “some” room layouts, but not for all the room types for each property. It gets confusing and Ijust want to know exactly what I am getting for my money.

    Hi Suzanne,
With young children I would highly recommend the Beach Club due to its proximity to two of the parks. This cuts down on bus rides. Epcot is a convenient walk from the Beach Club, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a nice boat ride away. The Beach Club also offers a great pool area for the kiddos where they can make sand castles. In the evening, Disney movies are shown down on the beach.

The difference between a suite and a one bedroom is that a suite typically has a separate sitting room area. A one-bedroom suite at the Beach Club has a king-size bed in the bedroom and daybed in the sitting room. Crib or rollaway bed are available upon request. This suite also includes concierge services. You may also want to check out a one-bedroom villa at the Beach Club Villas. A one-bedroom villa includes a full kitchen, washer/dryer, king-size bed in the bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. The villas include all the amenities, i.e. pools and bus service, of the Beach Club. There is a considerable difference in price. For the time you are considering the difference between the Beach Club 1-bedroom suite and a 1-bedroom villa is about $759 (the Beach Club is the more expensive).
