Disney Dining Plan 2010 adds Peak Season pricing
If you have read Disney Dining: Holiday Pricing and Gratuities, you know that higher prices are in effect at some of the Walt Disney World Resort restaurants during certain holidays. You could avoid the higher prices by eating at restaurants that do not raise prices or by purchasing the Disney Dining Plan. With the Dining Plan, your meals are prepaid so that regardless of menu prices, you don’t pay any more but, with the 2010 Dining Plan that will be a thing of the past.
Jan. 1 – Feb 11
April 11 – June 3
Aug. 15 – Dec. 16
Peak season will be:
Feb. 12 – April 10
June 4 – Aug. 14
Dec. 17 – Dec 31
When making your vacation plans, you will want to be aware that if your check-in date falls within the peak season, even one day, you will pay peak season Dining Plan prices for your entire stay. If, for example, you check-in on April 10 for a 5-night stay (April 10 – 15), even though April 11 – April 14 fall within regular dining season, you will still pay $47/adult, $13/child per night of your stay. However, the reverse is also true: for example, check-in on June 3 for a 5-night stay (June 3 – 8), you will pay regular season prices for your entire stay.
You will also want to be aware that for all Walt Disney World resorts, except Value and Moderate resorts, regular and peak season Dining Plan prices overlap. Here’s what that means:
For Disney’s Deluxe, Deluxe Villa and Fort Wilderness Cabins, July 18 – Sept 31 falls during resort Value season; Peak Dining Plan season overlaps those dates: June 4 – August 14. If your stay is between July 18 – August 14, you will pay Value season resort prices, but Peak season Dining Plan prices. For both resort Value season pricing and regular Dining Plan pricing, book your trip from August 15 – September 30 or November 28 – December 16.
