New Online Check-In Service debuts at Walt Disney World Resort

online-check-in-graphicIf you have visited Walt Disney World Resort before and stayed in one of their hotels or Vacation Club resorts, you may have been faced with waiting in a long line to check in, especially if you arrived on Sunday.  Well, wait no more.

“Our new Online Check-In Service offers added convenience and time savings for Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests,” said Kevin Myers, vice president of Resort Operations for Walt Disney World Resort.  “It’s the latest benefit created as part of our continuous effort to provide a seamless and hassle-free arrival experience for our guests as they begin their Disney vacation.”

Walt Disney World Resort began offering this new service in February to guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels and Disney Vacation Club resorts. This free service is offered as a way of simplifying and streamlining guest’s check-in process.

By going online to the My Vacation my-vacationarea of Disney World’s website and logging in 10 days prior to their arrival date, guests can provide the information that they normally would when arriving at the resort’s front desk: names of all the guests in the party and a credit card to cover additional charges while staying at the resort hotel. You can also provide information about your expected arrival time, as well as, request room preferences (although room preferences cannot be guaranteed).

A special welcome location is set up in the hotel where, upon arrival, guests will be able to pick up their room keys and other registration materials. Cast members will also be there to answer any questions.

In addition to this latest perk, Walt Disney World Resort guests can take advantage of: complimentary on-property transportation; Disney’s complimentary, Magical Express, airport shuttle service and luggage delivery; and Extra Magic Hours, providing extra time in the parks to experience select attractions.
