Extra Magic Hour
Once known as Surprise Mornings. Disney World Resort guests can experience certain attractions on certain days one hour earlier than non-WDW resort guests. Resort guests can now also enjoy Extra Magic Hours in the evenings as well. Don’t confuse this with E-Ride Nights at the Magic Kingdom which are an additional charge. Extra Magic Hours, morning and evening are free to Disney resort guests. Be sure to check the special events guide you will be given at check-in, days, hours, and attractions may change.
If staying in the parks for Extra Magic Evenings, around 7:00 pm there will be several stations within the parks and at entrances for distributing wrist bands. Each person has to show their resort i.d., one person cannot take everyone in their group’s i.d. to get all the wrist bands. After the park’s official closing, before entering an attraction a cast member will ask you to show your wrist band.
